Brainandbolt ("we", "us") is a sole proprietorship based in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through brainandbolt.com, why we collect it and how you can control it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

• Information you give us: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, business name, city and anything else you write in our forms (free website application, contact and service request forms).
• Account and order information: if you create an account or buy something, your login details, order history and billing details. Card payments are handled by our payment providers (such as Stripe or PayPal); we do not store your full card number.
• Technical information: your IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through server logs and cookies.

How we use it

• To reply to your application or message and to build and support your website.
• To process orders, deliver downloads and send receipts or license keys.
• To protect the site from spam and abuse.
• To send you follow-up messages about the work you asked for. We do not sell your information.

Cookies and third-party services

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and keep the site secure. Our forms may use Google reCAPTCHA, which is covered by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms. When you click a link to one of our hosting partners and sign up, that partner uses its own cookies to record that you came from us. Their own privacy policies apply on their sites.

Who we share it with

Only with service providers who help us run the business, such as our web host, email provider and payment processors, and only as needed to provide our services. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep application and contact messages for as long as we are working with you and for a reasonable time afterwards, and order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to messages, by emailing contact@brainandbolt.com. We will reply within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
