Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use brainandbolt.com or hire Brainandbolt, a sole proprietorship based in Ontario, Canada ("we", "us"). By applying, ordering or using the site you agree to them.

1. The free website offer

• We design a website of up to 5 pages with a contact form, Google Maps, basic SEO and one round of changes, at no charge.
• The offer requires you to buy a hosting plan through our partner link. You buy it in your own name, with your own payment method, directly from the hosting company. Their terms and prices apply to the hosting.
• We review every application and may decline any of them.
• You provide your logo, photos and text. You confirm you have the right to use them.
• We aim to launch within 5 days of receiving your content and access to your hosting.
• Anything outside this scope is paid work, quoted in writing first.

2. Affiliate disclosure

We earn a commission from our hosting partners when you sign up through our links. This does not change the price you pay.

3. Ownership

Once your site is live, the website content and your hosting account belong to you. Themes, plugins or software made by others stay under their own licenses.

4. Paid services and care plan

• Paid projects are quoted in writing. Unless the quote says otherwise, we take 50% upfront and the rest at launch.
• The care plan is billed monthly and you can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future charges; months already paid are not refunded.

5. Digital products

Purchases from our project catalogue are licensed to you under the license shown on the product page. Support periods and refund terms are shown on each product page at the time you buy.

6. Limits of our responsibility

We work carefully, but we cannot guarantee that a website will be error-free or always online, since hosting is provided by a third party. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service involved.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
